"Rubye's Kids Holiday Party" is an annual event held on the 2nd Saturday in December that provides a day of joy for 500+ underprivileged inner city elementary school age children, from schools and shelters in Philadelphia. Children enjoy a hot lunch, musical entertainment, clowns, activities, carnival games, receive books, hats and gloves, have a photo with Santa and select a present from hundreds of gifts in Toyland. These children, who would have had nothing for the holiday, go home with not only essential winter gear and school supplies, but also lasting memories of having fun and being loved by everyone.

"Rubye's Kids Closets" a closet in each school designated for necessary school supplies that the children cannot afford to purchase. Each child deserves to have the supplies necessary to enhance their education.

"Rubye's Kids Birthday Parties" are monthly celebrations held in homeless shelters. Children are celebrated with activities, entertainment, birthday cake and a birthday gift. Celebrating the child on the day they were born promotes self esteem.
